The founding members listed on the About Us page started this group in 2013. Helping us in our formation was the Kettering Foundation, who recognized our work as one of their Centers for Public Life in 2014-15. Funding for our formation and training has come from member institutions and travel and educational expenses from the Kettering Foundation.
What does the San Diego Deliberation Network bring to a community conversation?
Members of the SDDN assist with research and framing of the issues to be discussed. In addition, the Network assists in planning outreach for the event to ensure diversity, identifying and training facilitators, note takers, and a final report.
